In my earlier book, Understanding Your- self and Others, I stressed that the key to personal success is ownership of every- thing we do. Once we have made that significant step we then need to under- stand the dynamics that affect us. By putting `handles' on our personal `baggage' we can deal with that baggage appropriately.

The contents of this text are the result of consultancies, work- shops and seminars with which I have been involved over the past decade.

This background has helped me to keep the content applied and relevant to specific issues.

The major issues confronting businesses seem to be under- standing staff and clients, communi- cation, self-motivation, personnel (staff retention, dismissal, discrimination, harass- ment, etc.), time management, dealing with difficult clients/ staff, negotiation, per- suasion and handling others. I have tried, in this book, to deal with the above issues by using strategies to yield improvement.

The phrase `It works in theory but not in practice' is nonsense. If it does not work, why keep it? None of the following discussion, suggestions, ideas is meant to give receipes for success, but, rather, I want every reader to use the information to develop his/her own strategies that are specifically designed to work in his/her own unique environment.

Dr Phil's books will be available for purchase at the seminar or contact us for your copy today!

Full Profile

Often, highly qualified and successful professionals who excel in their areas of expertise can suddenly find themselves expected to be competent in people management. Many of these leaders have never had the opportunity to be educated in managing others. Dr Phil Jauncey educates managers in the skills of leading people.

Dr Phil Jauncey
2 Day Executive Training Seminar
Self Management and Staff Management

This Seminar focuses on the concept of ownership of problems to ensure real leadership with an ongoing productive relationship with staff and clients.

It aims to develop effective Staff Management Practices which return responsibility to the staff, fostering empowerment and accountability. It will develop specialised leadership oriented interpersonal skills via communication training, the art of "contracting and clozing", personal conflict resolution and understanding personal differences.

It will provide education (which encourages a result from the learner) as opposed to training (where presenting material is more important than the needs of the receiver).

Participants will not only gain insights and skills in people management, but, more importantly, they will have developed a methodology to keep improving their skills in a way that is personally relevant.

This course will not tell participants what to do, but will encourage each member to develop his/her own unique style that fits that individual setting.
