By Rhiannon Zanetic

By Claire Moffat
GE Appliance & Lighting is in the process of voluntarily recalling an estimated 174,000 units of GE Profile and GE Monogram dishwahers. The dishwashers were made by Louisville, Kentucky-based and were distributed nationwide between July 2003 and December 2006. They were sold at retail prices ranging from US$750 to US$1,400. The CPSC said in its report that a short circuit of the electronic control panel of the dishwashers may result from contact with water.
