We are still waiting to hear from Optus about a date for the Community Information/ Consultation Day which is in response to local residents' concerns about proposed Optus Towers in Balmoral and Hawthorne. Read full article here Princess Street Precinct Traffic Calming Council has approved funding this financial year to design a traffic calming scheme in the Princess Street Precinct, Bulimba (includes all streets running off Oxford Street on the non-Memorial Park side from Quay St up to Riddell Street; the entire length of Brisbane Street; Apollo Road from the end of Brisbane Street to Lytton Road junction). This will include coloured pavement entry treatments and speed platforms on these streets. Council wants feedback from residents in the Precinct, and you should have by now received a survey form in your letter box. If you missed out, you can pick one up from Shayne Sutton's office or contact Glen Porter at tps.contact@brisbane.qld.gov.au.
